About Dr. Katie

Dr. Katie grew up in the Sacramento area. She had a love for animals from a very young age. Growing up, she enjoyed taking care of everything from fish, birds, rabbits, cats, dogs, horses and even a few exotic reptiles. She spent countless hours riding or just spending time at her eventing barn in Granite Bay.

EDUCATION

Dr. Katie graduated from Granite Bay High School in 1999, and from there she moved to Santa Barbara to attend Westmont College. She graduated with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry.

Upon graduation, Dr. Katie pursued a lifelong dream to work with marine mammals, and worked at Sea World San Diego. During her years there, she trained dolphins and worked in the seal and sea lion rescue and rehabilitation program. This helped further hone her skills in animal training and behavior, as well as animal husbandry.

Chiropractic Education

Dr. Katie was first introduced to animal chiropractic through equine chiropractic. She was riding in San Diego when a fellow rider told her about her horse’s amazing chiropractic experience. Coming from a more medically minded background, she was blown away by the results of this more natural approach to health. After experiencing chiropractic care for herself, and much research, she knew this was her calling. She attended Parker College of Chiropractic and worked under Gene Giggleman, DVM in his veterinary and animal chiropractic clinic. She went on further to be certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association, recognized as the world leader in animal chiropractic.

Dr. Katie cares for human AND animal patients in her mobile practice as well as in the office. She is also willing to travel to your veterinarian, which may be coordinated. Her physical practice is at Lighthouse Wellness Center in Roseville. To check out Lighthouse Wellness Center, please visit:
